How do I report a member for misconduct?

LiveWire moderators depend heavily on member reports to keep LiveWire clean and in order. We can't possibly review every single post, thread, image comment, or whiteboard post. We expect our members to assist us in such a way, and that is why there are several ways to report misconduct to the team - and we welcome such reports.

  • Private Messages: At the bottom right of each private message, there is a direct link to the reporting station. The linked text is "Report Message" and will appear next to the image.

  • Forum Postings: At the bottom right of each thread/posting, there is a direct link to the reporting station. The linked text is "Report Post" and will appear inside an orange box.

  • Profile Reporting: To manually report a specific user, follow these directions: Go to the user's profile page, look to the far right directly above their avatar and you will notice a small box that has the text "Actions" inside of it. Click the arrow next to the text to reveal a drop down menu. Inside the menu, you will see a "Report" tab, which when clicked will bring up the reporting station.

  • General Reporting: To manually file a general report, follow these directions: Click the "My Account" tab to the left/right of your screen on the toolbar, then look to the right of that page under the "Communicate" heading and you will see the "Report Misconduct" link. You may also simply click here to be taken directly to the page. However, moderators kindly ask you to report the message or post that you find inappropriate if at all possible (as evidence). Thus, only use General Misconduct Reports if you can't find a direct way to report the misconduct.
