What are penalty points?
Penalty points are points LiveWire moderators assign that will subtract from the total number of points your account has. Once assigned, they will permanently be attached to your account under the "Points" section of your profile. Think of them as just another tool moderators have in their tool belt to assist them with their duties around LiveWire!
When are penalty points assigned?
Penalty points are assigned largely with moderator discretion. However, just to give a general idea, here are a few circumstances in which penalty points may be issued:
- Formal warnings.
- Oversight Board Abuse.
- Particularly unhelpful, harmful, or spammy posts on the forums.
- Abuse of certain features (such as the Moderator Error System / Link To LiveWire).
