What is the Oversight Board?
The Oversight Board is a group made up of five randomly selected members who are charged with the responsibility of protecting LiveWire against the unlikely occurrence of moderator tyranny. As such, they are given reasons as to why members were recently warned or denied service, as well as complaints filed against moderators.
Policy - Members appointed to the position are absolutely forbidden to share the information they are given access to with non-current board members, for reasons being protection of confidentiality. If you share the information you obtained through the board, either while on the board or off, moderators will assign penalty points to ensure you're ineligible in the future.
Abilities - The Oversight Board can, if absolutely necessary, suspend a moderator's moderation privileges temporarily by way of a vote. The moderator's account will be stripped entirely of moderation abilities, and will remain so until davjs / Spice reviews the circumstances and decides what, if any, action should be taken.
Selection - The five board members are replaced by five new board members every Sunday by random selection. Any member with a ranking of Wealthy Hobo ( ) or higher, who has been active 94% of the time over the past 30 days, and who has fewer than 25 penalty points has an equal chance of being picked for this position.
