This is aweful... I would have done something. If he didn't want the disease he should have scared the bird away or just gotten the child food and set it close. I just don't have money to donate. :(

this makes me so sad and guilty, i sponsor a child in africa, but i havent sent money since june :( i feel so terrible, but i have no money to send.

how could he have walked away! of course, I feel terrible about his guilt. no human should bear it. However, there is no disease that can be caught that would weigh heavier than regret.

At the time, he was scared for his own life because he was told that if he touched them he could die from disease, but he probably wished he had done something and realized he made a selfish choice and couldn't live with himself.
But, if you think about it, we don't save them either, people we could give money and food to are starving to death every day.
