Windows 8/Mobile
May 8, 2013 at 11:34am by nethawk2012 — Advisor

Optimize golivewire for easier use for those with windows 8 and/or accessing the site from their smartphone. Currently with windows 8, it's hard to use the touchscreen here because the topics and such are small and close together.

Detailed Statistics by Rank
April 10, 2013 at 12:56pm by Run with wolves — Soothsayer

Probably not all that simple to do because ranks change (sometimes back and forth when others give points), but having more statistics on livewire would be great. Specifically on ranks, although can change, I'm sure doing some coding can keep track of them?

More statistics would be good in general, I think.

Allow removed content to be viewable in 'Print' View
April 5, 2013 at 1:51pm by the real anti christ — It's Hamtaro Time!

Yes, back in the day you could read the spam and content violating 'removed post' by going to the print view. I get why those post might need to be removed and also that we should not reply to them but I would still like to be able to read them.

Return this awesome feature David!

LiveWire Desktop Application
April 4, 2013 at 5:06am by nethawk2012 — Advisor

Sometimes we don't want to open a browser, login and such because we are at work or busy at the house, but it would be nice to get automatic updates and mail alerts on our desktop. Download it from this site only and make it easy for teens to stay connected.

Removal of .img Server
April 2, 2013 at 8:04pm by Run with wolves — Soothsayer

Pretty self explanatory. Img server keeps crapping out. It was supposed to make lw run smoother. It doesn't. Might  as well have it removed.

More Customizable Profile.
Feb. 8, 2013 at 2:38pm by 14lbenson — Technician

What I mean is I look at everyone's profile and there all the same. I highly doubt that people donate and sorry to say whats the point of donating. This is an awesome website for information and friendship but please dont make us pay to be here.

We should be able to set our own profile pictures, customize how our profile looks, and maybe create something similar to Facebook like a ticker so you can see who and where they comment on forums and help out. This website is hard to use sometimes and hard to find things. Maybe make it a bit simpler.

Hide eHelp forum
Jan. 5, 2013 at 9:15pm by Tom Riddle — Oh is that so?

What I mean is this:

Say Springs submits an eHelp, and the information is rather personal.

Once it has been filed, only Springs and The Support Leaders can see the topic. Basically, the Topic OP and SL's can see the topics.

Technical Updation.
Dec. 6, 2012 at 9:24pm by gps tracker — Novice

When the second person (and later persons) attempts to save the page, MediaWiki will attempt to merge their changes into the current version of the text. If the merge fails then the user will receive an "edit conflict" message, and the opportunity to merge their changes manually. If multiple consecutive conflicts are noticed, it will generate a slightly different message. This is similar to Concurrent Versions System (CVS), a widely used software version management system.

Thanksgiving Theme

We have a Halloween theme and a Christmas theme, but we don't have one for Thanksgiving.

Membername Changes.
Nov. 8, 2012 at 12:40am by The Next Companion — Personal Assistant

I have seen people complaining about not recognizing people I think that you should make something on the profiles to where people can see everyone past member names. There are people who go away for awhile and come back and do not recognize other members because they changed their names.

Automatically Refreshing
Aug. 23, 2012 at 10:40am by nethawk2012 — Advisor

The messages alert should also be auto-refresh like the fresh topics area and announcements. Its a pain to keep having to click refresh while waiting for a friend or mod to message you back and then if your new, you sit there waiting for a response when the reply has been there for awhile.

Standard Mobile version of LiveWire
July 2, 2012 at 10:30pm by Oceanborn — Swami

So that when a member visits LW on their phone/iPod/portable device/whatever, it won't be an agonizing pain in the ass having to zoom in and switch orientation to see the tiny ass text...there should, of course, also be the option to switch back to desktop version, if one so wishes to, but having the option for a mobile version of LW would be much appreciated.

Consistency with customizable cuss ban
Mar. 15, 2012 at 12:34am by iconoclast — is this real

If you're allowed to put 'fuck' in your username, its only logical that it be allowed in your customizable. Outdated error etc

suspensions for milder 'ban offenses'
Feb. 11, 2012 at 9:52am by iconoclast — is this real

then ban the account if they try to circumvent it

this is how they do it on other forums it makes more sense than a 7 day ban which is silly

remove the 'did you make a similar post' thing for youtube tags
Feb. 10, 2012 at 4:23pm by iconoclast — is this real

it will only let you post two videos per post

then when you try to post two more in another post

itll think you double posted

which is really annoying

LW url shortner
Jan. 8, 2012 at 8:12pm by Napster the Hacker — ∞∞∞∞

It would be great if we can have a automated url shortener ex: http://goo.gl/F4u9h

When ever we post a long url in the post body it gives the 100 character error. Some members try to break the links, only few knows/bothers to use a shortener like bit.ly
I would suggest a automatic url shortening mechanism for the posts. So whenever a member posts a raw link it will turn in to a short link host by LW.
There are few sites which has these feature, like twitter, google + and few forums.

Multi-upload
Dec. 31, 2011 at 3:12pm by roll out — Connoisseur

Instead of clicking, upload another image, and doing one image at a time, there should be a multi upload feature. Uploading one at a time can get to be bothersome. :(

Multiple Holiday themes
Dec. 24, 2011 at 3:20pm by Sqi 8000 — [Your Future Leader]

Says it all really. I don't know who makes these or how long it takes. But perhaps having the choice of a few themes (say 3?) that are compulsory would help lighten LW's mood at time when the theme changes.

I'll admit I'm not one to like change.. But eh we all get used to it. I think it'd be nice and a little perk over certain events over the year. Christmas and Halloween being good examples. It might at least please more people at once if the theme can be altered.

New smiley
Dec. 3, 2011 at 12:57am by iamironman — Tomahawk Choppin'

As many of you know, our smiley list is still slightly too short. I suggest that we add on a down syndrome smiley. It will be used very frequently in topics where a member's idiocy gets out of hand. If true retardation is shown, there should be an instant way for us to express how we feel about the individual.

Though it sounds like one that would be hard to design, think of it this way. We could try to draw up a "standard" yellow smiley that would represent down syndrome, or take the easy way out and use a picture on Renfield.

Moderators and Anonymous
Dec. 2, 2011 at 7:34am by CrimSin — amor vincit omnia

- Make it so when a moderator looks up an anonymous poster, an entry is created in the ADMO log.  It would also be nice to have a reason box.  That way, there is quick reference to every anon reveal from this point forward.

This will create accountability and protection for the mods.  We will be more transparent, and we will be protected against false claims.

-Hide Anonymous topics/replies in the user's "Posts" section.  Add the same look up feature, with the same reason box, and make that appear in the admo too.

Friend Request
Nov. 17, 2011 at 12:50pm by Jubilance — ❤ ❤ ❤

We desperately need an option where we can either accept or reject a friend request. Simply ignoring it doesn't do anything, we still end up on their friend list. PLEASE MODS, ADMINS. MAKE THIS HAPPEN!

Down syndrome smiley
Nov. 5, 2011 at 5:39pm by iamironman — Tomahawk Choppin'

I propose that, in addition to the many smilies we have, we should add one that represents down syndrome.

Ignore Feature
Oct. 27, 2011 at 9:54pm by Teagan — Dairy Product Addict

For the love of god, can we implement an "ignore" feature where you can set it so you don't see a particular user's posts without clicking on them or something?  Some of the people on LW are just outright idiots and/or love to vomit words endlessly, and it's a pain to have to wade through all of that crap.  Just about all of the major forum/board software has this feature in it now.  It'd be nice for LW to have it as well.

Davjs should leave.
Aug. 31, 2011 at 3:47pm by Zapp Brannigan — Guru

I believe that Davjs should pass the website onto someone who actually cares now.

This would give the website a new chance to improve in numbers and enjoyment with current members.

It is completely evident that he does not care for the website now, and so he should pass it onto someone who does.
