Character support for greek and other languages Sep. 11, 2009 at 11:32am by osmoticdespair — ☦
I want to not get a message saying that I can't have more than 22 characters in a row when I type something in greek (or georgian or russian or whatever other language I might choose). I didn't put more than 22 characters in a row, LW needs to understand the other characters. |

I'm pretty sure this one would have been suggested before. So if it has, could someone please explain why it hasn't been implemented? Because I think the ability to specify multiple recipients for PMs would be handy. Unless it's already possible if you manually add commas and shiz... in that case I think it should be more automated. |

Better Intellectual test score views for mods Sep. 9, 2009 at 12:21am by ModsBlowMe — Professional
basically im asking that mods be able to see the categories in which we got questions wrong, sp they could give applicants some direction in which to improve. this would require further sub categorizing the questions, into grammar, math, politics, whatever. and then when we submit the test, whatever the mods see, that shows our score, would also show the said categories. how can we improve upon our score if we don't have the slightest clue what we need to improve on? the mods wouldn't see the questions we got wrong, to ensure no cheating. |

Confirm Create New Topic Sep. 9, 2009 at 12:13am by Clara Bell — Swami
When you click the "Create Topic" button, a pop-up should ask if we want to create the topic. I have accidentally pressed it a few times before I was finished with my topic, and I'm sure others have too. |

When you type a reply in advanced view you have the box with smiley faces that you can click on and it inserts it into the reply, I feel that this should be available also for the Quick reply private messages too. this is the box im talking about: |

multiple image upload Sep. 3, 2009 at 8:26am by ModsSuckMe — Novice
just as there is an image upload button, there should be a multiple image upload button. members would be allowed to upload between 3 and 5 images, depending on how much bandwidth this option would eat up |

MSN Link in Profile Aug. 31, 2009 at 12:41am by derailedjet — ^^Proof I'm A Loser^^
We have a little AIM guy in our profiles if we have AIM. I don't see a reason why we shouldn't have something similar for MSN. If you look: http://www.golivewire.com/forums/peer-ytbspiy-support-a.html A majority (about 75% last I checked) use MSN. |

There ought to be alert notifications in the iGoogle widget just like there are notifications for new PM's and such. |

if a support leader votes to hide a reply, it will not get removed unless another sl or tsl votes it out also. so if it is not seen, it is kept. to fix this, may i sugest a tsl/sl menu or something of the sort so if a reply gets voted out, the sl/tsl community will be alerted instead of th mod's since they have more pressing issues to attend to. and if a sl/tsl does not want to be alerted on this tsl/sl menu, he/she can change an option on there profile if they want to recieve this alert. this will also hepl davjs's strive to make a self-moderated community. |

Mark all forums read button. Aug. 28, 2009 at 5:16pm by Ezri — Novice
I think you should add a mark all forums read button. It has tons of pros and absolutely no cons, so I don't see why not. |

Some members tend to forget that there is even a quiz section since it's all the way at the top (where some people tend to ignore.) Would it be any way possible to get the quizzes over on the sidebar underneath the Contests, perhaps? That way it would allow for easy access and people wouldn't tend to just glance over and forget about the unused section of LiveWire. |

We need something which stops it. say if someone quotes a quoted post, it removes the old quote. I've been on other forums where this happens |

:sophisticated: Smiley ADOPTED Aug. 22, 2009 at 8:19pm by Banana KC — Connoisseur
There should be a smiley and/or mood that represents the feeling of sophistication. Something with a monocle/top-hat, perhaps. I put together an example in Photoshop: Permission is granted for that one specifically to be used. :sophistication: is key to success. |

Wrap signatures Aug. 21, 2009 at 9:01pm by InsaneBlue — Swami
Rather than make us have to break lines in our signatures so that none of them are over 74 characters long, automatically break the lines after the first whole word that comes before the 74 char mark. |

eHelp's Ratings Revamped Aug. 17, 2009 at 9:09pm by dreamweaver — Fight it...
So I've been listening to the cries from fellow Support Leaders that the ratings system is inaccurate on many levels (I do not disagree)- there's no "negative" rating (which can make it confusing), excellent answers to the eHelp can be rated extremely low if the person seeking help didn't like the answer, and biasing their choice based on who the Support Leader is can be a real problem. My idea: Allow fellow Support Leaders do the ratings and just let the person seeking help to reply if they wish (or rate as well- could still work). It's kind of like Yahoo! Answers' concept. After so many days, whichever eHelp reply gains the most vote can be considered the top response. (Some may hate this next part... so please don't hate me for it) And also, I think we should lower the points we earn for answering an eHelp... BUT for each vote, half a point. It's a win-win situation there, really. --> Discussion topic (for SLs) |

Oversight Board Forum Aug. 15, 2009 at 6:44pm by dreamweaver — Fight it...
Why not give them a way to discuss issues instead of them depending on alternative methods of communicating? Also, we could include a little guide as a sticky in the forum so that they know what they're able to do and all that jazz. Discussion topic about this suggestion (click here) |

Tech Forums: Specify Hard/Software Aug. 15, 2009 at 5:49pm by derailedjet — ^^Proof I'm A Loser^^
Most technical forums have an additional few fields where you can input what kinda hardware you're running on and what software/OS you have. I think it would be great to have an optional field when posting/creating topics in the tech forums that would ask for the specs of the hardware you're using as well as the OS/software you're on. This will give anyone providing help a much clearer idea of the problem, since they'll know the hardware/software specs. I've run into numerous situations where most users won't post that information and you have to waste time asking what they're running on. This would be optional, but serve as a good reminder that this info is probably useful. |
