There is Formal Rush, which is in the fall (this is normally the biggest rush of the year, it's really a big deal, the frats and sororities do all these programs and parties and stuff) and then there's Informal Rush in the spring I believe.

Yup thats correct.

I went through Fall Rush my freshmen year. It was pretty interesting going through the different houses. The sorority I wanted to join [Delta Gamma] actually was/is a fraternity, because the founders were guys. But its really only for girls. I ended up not joining due to time management and money issues. They were the only house that wasnt full of artificial girls.
