http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kent_State_shootings http://dept.kent.edu/sociology/lewis/LEWIHEN.htm There are two articles, if you'd like to find more, just google "Kent State shootings." When interviewed, the National Guardsmen said they feared for their life and were provoked to take violent action. From what I've read and seen, it doesn't seem that way. The student who died nearest to the Guardsmen was 265 feet away, and was not armed. Now, if you'd like to try to say that they're wrong and that the students were closer or whatever, no, they weren't. There are memorial sites in the places of their deaths, and I was there recently. Trust me, unless someone was aiming a gun at me, I simply couldn't feel threatened by someone at that distance, especially someone not involved. Do you think it was murder? Why or why not? What do you think?

I think it was. From that far away, and unarmed, whereas the Guardsmen were armed, that has to be just ridiculous to call it fearing for their lives.

I have to agree. I've always failed to see how someone could feel threatened by someone else, unarmed and 265 ft. away.
------- Even if I'm the only one laughing its still worth doing. Because, in a world of moral ambiguity, laughter, though fleeting, is the only certainty.
