I ordered a wireless router off Amazon (NETGEAR WGR614), and as tech savvy as I am, I'm still having problems with it. I previously had no network of any kind in my house. I hooked up the router to the power supply, and connected it to the Ethernet port on my desktop computer. Now, I should be able to log in to the router at http://192.168.1.1 from my web browser, but any connection I try to make to it is giving me a "This page could not be found" error, or similar. If I was buying it straight from NETGEAR, I would have received an installation CD with it, but I've been assured that this is not required for installation of the router. I've been told that I need to set it up properly (which I definitely have) and connect to it using the IP address shown above. Grr... makes me annoyed with Amazon this does. Any ideas on a remedy? Oh yeah, there will be some kind of point value associated with the user who gives me advice / a solution which leads to the remedy of this.

pretty easy look at the bak of the router, and there should be a lil hole close to where u plug in the power that says reset, push a paperclip into it and hold it for 5 to 7 seconds, router needs to be powered on u'll see all lights on router flash let go of paper clip. i'll see if i find u the owners manual for that router
