Thats horrible :(

what we have in ausralia is HECS (Higher Education something something) but anyway, probably about 70% of students use it. What it does is, you put in a form and they government pays your fees (and its cheaper for them to do it too) and then you don't have to worry about paying it back until you get a job that earns over... $30 000 a year or something. Then you pay like 1% of your pay back to the government out of your pay.

So essentially the government pays for all our uni fees, and then if we qualify (parents don't earn enough ect) We get. I think I get, $190.50 a fortnight from the government to support myself while living at home.

Um, and then if i'm not living at home I could get living away from home allowance which is like $300 odd a fortnight, or if i'm living more than 100 kms from home its like $400 a fortnight, and I can also apply for rent assistance which is like $40 - $50 a week.

Then on top of that if you are poor you can apply for a commonwealth learning scholarship (which is what I have) and they give me $2000 odd a year to put towards text books or my student loan or whatever I like.

So, you should move to australia :P we have a good governenment system.

Perhaps you can go to a junior college where tuition is minimal.  Get all you general ed done there, then transfer to a university.  In the meantime you can get a part time job to save up for 2 years until you get to the university.
