Just want to know if a handful of people started out college freshman year later than the standard 18 years of age after High School. Does age matter when u begin college?

18...and age doesn't matter. You will usually see a wide range of age in students...specially if you go to a community college like I did.

College is different in the UK. 16/17 is the normal age. US college is more comparable with University.

oh......Well.....I dunno..Coming from Singapore, we follow the British system.... like the Cambridge 'O' levels and 'A' levels. I started junior college the year I turned 17 which is the standard age in my country. So yea, I guess its different from the US.

oh wait... is Junior College the same standard as community college in the USA? Junior college in SIngapore is a 2 year course leading to a Cambridge 'A' level certificate...so it's not like an associate degree right?
