Lets you run more than one OS from Windows.

Thereby creating a computer that only exists inside your computer.  Hence "virtual" machine.

It lets one run an operating system withing another.  I have used it with xubuntu and Damn Small Linux.  Can close at anytime or experiment with different operating systems .

Where can I get this "Damn Small Linux" you speak of?

Edit: Never mind, I just downloaded the ISO.
