If you are able to start paying them off, go for it. The sooner the better. I wish I knew more about loans, but sadly I dont. Tomorrow, I shall ask a few people who would and get back with ya. If I don't, I apologize but it would mean that I couldn't get anymore information about it.
Maybe you could ask your bank about the loans and see if you could consolidate them or something so you wouldn't end up paying high interest rates? It wouldn't hurt to ask a bank about this.

I'm a parent with thousands of parent loans to pay off. The only good thing is that the interest is tax deductible!

i have about 15k in loans for the first year alone, then i transferred schools and apparently, i have to pay off the 15K now, starting from november which doesn't really make sense because i don't have an income, i'm still a full time student. honestly, i can't afford to pay that off. but thankfully, they're only charging me $40 a month minimum which i can do until i acutually graduate and get a job.
