What's one that will really work for my dvd-r because I've tried millions of them and in the end they don't work and to that they ruin my blank dvd so I can't use it again...I hate when that happens, is there one that really works cuz I need it to burn my movies from u torrent...and NERO does not work..are there any other ones that work really well and are for free and easy to use, can you plz help me out!

It sounds to me that your problem lies with the software you are trying to burn to the DVDs, not the recording program. Make sure the movies are DVD ready, because many movies/videos use DivX or XviD, and those generally wont play on standard DVD players.
