Geez, people, you will know it's spam when you see it. Usernames like 'Spamfuck' and 'sirmcspamalots' are usually red lights. You'll notice series of topics in Caps Lock. It's pretty easy.

And now I'm going to ask a really stupid question out of curiosity...

If the points don't go to Pengy, where do they go? Is there like an Island of Misfit Points? Or are they just like virtually blown up? I never though about this before.

Pengy explained. If it's a first post that sounds almost serious, like "OMG! can i lyk get pregnant if....[insert something stupid here]", it won't be a problem. Pengy speaks of the obvious spam, and members who reply to every Spam-topic (spopic?) they see in order to get points. If it's obvious spam, like porn or something, and you don't know it's spam, then you have a problem.

(And everyone will read the announcement, it blinks! There is no excuse for ignoring the announcement blink.)

So in theory, if I were to report a post that was spam, and post in it to say that people need to stop posting in it, I would get 25 penalty points and a warning, because I posted to tell other people to stop.  

Somehow this new policy feels more born of blind frustration than careful planning...

How would posting in a topic saying "please stop posting" be beneficial anyway?
