All opinions are pretty much replacements for facts we haven't discovered yet. Opinions can be wrong; there is no reason to think they can't be. I flip a coin. Your opinion is that it landed tails; I say it landed heads. It landed tails--your opinion was right, mine was wrong. By extension, a political party can say that the coin landed heads and be wrong, which we won't know until we see the coin. Interestingly enough, some people will see the coin and still keep their views, or they won't even look at the coin once it was been unveiled. In your case, the BNP is a retarded group of misguided, fascist, racist, nationalistic cunts. Their views are wrong, according to any mainstream definition of right and wrong.

Ok so YOUR opinion about the BNP is what you think they are. Its not a guess. Its not a fact. Maybe one day your opinion may be proved right. Maybe it mght be proved wrong. But until the FACTS come in then it is neither right or wrong! Your opinion might stay the samel but the facts are there to PROVE you right or wrong. The point is there is no right or wrong on this! Opinions can be guesses, or they can be educated guesses, or estimates, or simply feelings or hunches. See, you're wrong here because you're assuming there is only one kind of opinion. While there are opinions that cannot be proved false, there are opinions which can be wrong, but simply haven't been verified yet. And, furthermore, there are opinions which have been proved wrong, but those who hold them either deny the existence or validity of the proof against them, or are ignorant of said proofs.

That's true--to argue that mainstream support of something makes it right (or that mainstream disapproval of something makes it wrong) is called argumentum ad populum, and is logically flawed. However, in order for one to argue whether it's right or wrong, we have to agree on what "right" and "wrong" are--I'm saying that, using the mainstream terms of good and evil that most of mankind can agree upon, one can determine the views held by BNP to be wrong.

You're assuming that it's a matter of guessing, a 50%/50% shot. Compare this to someone proposing that we jump off a cliff and that something really lucky will happen and we will land safely and have the ride of our lives. That's his opinion. I say we'll die. With no additional data, one can confidently state that he is fucking crazy and his views are wrong. Opinions can be retarded, illogical and make no sense. Additionally, one must consider what rationale brings people to having opinions. I mean, racists don't wake up one day thinking "Boy, I hate 'em niggers!"--something triggers it. So when a racist person approaches you and comments that he thinks black people are the root of all evil, it's not a matter of thinking "Oh well, that's his opinion!"; one can on one hand logically dissect his idea and discredit any validity it claims to have from a scientific or logical point of view, and one can then dissect the reasons that brought a seemingly normal human being to such an illogical, absurd conclusion, to prevent harmful, dangerous ideas from being spread around, stirring shit up.

having an opinion is one thing. Hurting people by following it is another. Hitler didn't like Jews, fine. Killing them isn't right. Aren't their laws against hate speech also...didn't the president of the BNP get in trouble for saying something...thats not just an opinion. If you just think something, fine, if you associate yourself with a party that acts on that, its more then an opinion. Plus I'm allowed to have my opinion about the BNP.
