Well, technically I have until mid-April until I go on my campus visits, but I figure I'll get this out of the way now . . . What questions should I be asking at the visits. I'll be going on a student-guided tour, than I'm pretty sure I'll be seeing academic advisors, financial aid people, and possibly heads of the Mechanical Engineering department (probably my major). So, what should I be asking?
I know I'll be inquiring about scholarships (my chances of getting anything need-based are jack-squat).
Other than that though, I can't really think of anything else.
Also, what things should I do to get a feel for the community, campus, and surrounding area? Right now I've got it planned out with extra time after campus visits to look around the town (both colleges I'm looking at are in small towns, so it won't take long). But I want to make sure that I get a good idea of how it would feel to be there.
Any insights you folks can provide would be greatly appreciated.
