I think that it would be impossible for their not to be aliens. Their has to be other life forms out there. And even though the Bible says that we were created in Gods image, maybe it meant soul and the aliens have that too. There is a gap in scientific knowledge.
The gap is filled with acts of a god (and therefore also proves, or helps to prove, the existence of said god).
One example of such an argument might be as follows: "Because science can't figure out exactly how species change, it must be God who causes it to happen."

You are replacing something that cannot be explained with something that cannot be proven...
