Not sure if this has been said yet or not(9 pages is really long lol) but without art Computers would only be able to exist in DOS format as I feel that any form of design is creative expression and therefore art.  Television would consist only of news programs with straight presenting in a  completley objective manner. Think about art in a broader sense, if there were no art there would be no, music, theatre, TV, movies, photography. Imagine no melody in the world. No decoration, no theatre. Often which are more integral to cultures than they are in the Western world. What would humans be without all of this?

I am thinking about art in a certain sense. If you wish to be some liberal everything is one fag and call the science behind a telivision art or photography art than go for it. I obviously am not using art in that context. So maybe try and stay with the type of art we are talking about and defend the tree hugging liberal pot smoking shroom using artistic fags and their sucidal poetry or paintings like the stupid slef portraits or other shit like that.

Not all 'artists are like that. I'm an artist and I'm not a pot smoking suicidal. Some artists actually want to make a difference to soceity through what they do. Like art therapy, some way there is no other way to communicate with kids who have been abused or disabled children. If art can help them in any way shape or form then I'm all for that.

Also we are visual creatures, we need visual stimulation, to see something beautful, it makes us who we are.

Art is not just shoved into one category as paint on paper, art is many things. Dance,writing,paintings and music are all examples of art.Even spoken words are art. In school systems they encourage "Fine Arts" because it helps the children become more cultural. Also, not all people view things in the same way.One person may better understand a subject in analysis rather than in a drawing, and vice versa.Your question, if I'm correct, is addressing the topic on why we have art. We can not help people throughout the world unless we understand them culturally and are able to communicate to them in all aspects.
