This topic is pretty new so there's not much here.  If you have any helpful links please message me (click here to do so) and I will add them to the list.

At the moment all links here are for people in the US because that is the only system I have gone through and am familiar with.  If you have links for other countries please let me know!!

~FAFSA website~ This is often the first step in getting financial aid for college.  If you are confused about it the best thing do to is call the financial aid office of the school you are applying to, or call the FAFSA office directly.

Loans & Scholarships:
College Board - their pay for college page has a variety of information
Finaid.org - loans, scholarships, other info

Stafford Loans (offical site)
Student Loan Network

FastWeb.com - scholarship website

In order to avoid Scholarships and Grant scams:

Do not give out your SSN, credit card info, bank account numbers, etc. no matter what. It's an obvious scam and is rather common. Always read the small writing to make sure it's not a scam. If you have to pay any amount to get the scholarship, it's not worth it.

I know every high school student is looking for easy ways to get scholarships. Honestly, if you think about it this way;

Writing a 1,000 word essay isn't that bad for a $300 scholarship (this is an example btw). Say you wrote the essay, and spent approx. 15 hours doing research and writing it. That would be $300 divided by 15. You're essentially getting paid $20 an hour. Not too shabby if you compare it to working $8 an hour at the local coffee shop.
