His Good Friend, Who I Don't Like

I'm so confused and could use some advice. I've been dating my boyfriend for almost 9 months now. We love each other, and are seriously considering getting engaged. The problem is that he has a good friend who he's close to, who I don't particularly like. Don't get me wrong, I think she's really nice, and I definitely trust him. It isn't about her really, but more about the fact that he talks to her about our problems. If he and I have an argument, I know that she is the first person he goes to. I can't help but be bothered by it...really REALLY bothered by it. I would never tell him to stop talking to her, or anything like that. I'm just so bothered by their relationship that it eats away at the back of my mind. I've tried to get him to understand how I feel, but in the end, I can't really put it into words. And I certainly don't know a solution. Anyone got any advice?

"Hey, I was thinking... we've been together for a really long time, and when we have a problem I'd really like to be able to work it out with you. I know that sometimes you need someone to talk to about your feelings, and that's okay, but I'd just really appreciate if we could keep our problems between us."

I would be pissed if my boyfriend talked to another girl about our problems. tell him that you honestly dont want him really to talk to her about things that dont have anything to do with her. i hope everything works out.

I would feel 100% differently if she were a guy. I think part of my problem is that my boyfriend and I got together after becoming really good friends who shared our relationship troubles together.

Sorry, but I have to say your over reacting........would it be different if she were a guy? Yes. Would it be easier? Yes. But we all have people we enjoy talking to, you are just going to have to live with the fact that his is another girl, sorry....

sry i just think you're overreacting a bit.  i have a friend who i always just saw as a close friend.  who cares that he's a guy.  if i have a relationship problem i can talk to him about it and i don't have to worry.  my boyfriend never had a problem with it.  he knew we were friends and just friends and he trusted me.  you can't pick your significant others best friends.  so you might as well go along with it.  any guy who told me to not talk to my best friend would be out *i know you're a girl but still...* i don't care how i felt about them.  my friends have helped me through almost everything so i definitely feel more loyal to them.
