Hmmm...well im from South Africa and we are one of the worlds largest gokld suppliers. Our currency is not the strongest but it helps strengthen our Rand because it brings in foreign currency which boosts our economy significantly strengthening our currency.

I think a currency's strength just depends on how easy and cost efficient it is to produce as well as keeping distribution at a sustainable level

Not exactly, but it does have alot of information as to why a currency falls or rises. I don't have the time to explain why.
