You think we can travel at the speed of light in the future? |

We can travel to other planets, but it'd take a long time going as fast as we could. We can never get to light speed, we'd be crushed. Also, how could we go that fast anyway?

We can probably travel as the same speed as solar flares because they are developing antimatter-propelled rocket ships I think.

Speed is relative to mass. As you approach the speed of light your mass becomes infinite. Its possible if you find a way to circumvent certain physical laws. I like the idea of wormholes more.

It is impossible to travel over or at the velocity of light, because, according to Einstein's theory of relativity, that demands an infinite amount of energy.

Well, I personally don't think that we'll ever be able to travel at the speed of light, but I think we'll be able to get pretty close. Scientists have gotten protons to 99.99% the speed of light using particle accelerators, proving that it's possible to go almost as fast. The faster you travel, the longer you are stretched out, and theoretically, when you hit the speed of light, you stop existing, because space can't exist without time. And also, I believe it was Albert Einstein who predicted that if it were possible to travel at the speed of light, it would require one billion pounds of fuel for every pound the rocket weighs. It's not currently possible to engineer anything that can carry a person anywhere near the speed of light. Time slows down the faster you go, so you wouldn't necessarily need to travel at the speed of light to reach another planet. So, in a nutshell, yes, we might possibly reach distant planets in the Milky Way someday, bu we won't be doing it at the speed of light.

I hope we can travel faster than light withoug time dilation, otherwise the universe is pointless if it can't be ultimately explored by going there
