Ooh... I had a question about the confidence thing. If a girl is putting you down, what should I do? Should I take it or what? I'm the calm submissive time and I don't let things like that bother me. If I want to show me 'confidence' how would I go about doing that when she puts me down? Should I just say "no you're wrong" or should I say something good about myself? How do I go about doing that without sounding conceited or... yeah. What do you guys think?

okay, so i've been reading this and i've been shy my whole life well all of junior high and tenth grade and now this year...and the people around me that i go to school with know me as being shy so it's like they ignore me now. and i really don't want to be shy but i feel like i have to and if i do talk they will be shocked and i dont have many friends either. and as much as i read these advice things on being shy, i still dont do any of them. And i'm just sick of being known as the "shy girl"

I used to be painfully shy. Instead of talking...I did a nervous giggle and then went silent. Then, for some reason i took a theater class. To this day i dont know why i did, but it really helped bring me out of my shell. Maybe it would work for someone else too.
