I'd rather a shy person then somebody is totally extroverted.

When I went to highschool, I knew nobody since they went to different schools, missed orientation day. But I had a large group of friends in year 7, but I was still a shy person and stopped playing sports. Year 8 changed, I was smart now, less friends.

Okay now to the present, I am still a shy person, aged 14, I have a group of friends which consists of around 10-20 people. In class, I don't usually talk, well besides to friends, but questions etc even though I know them. I get along with people besides the clowns, but even some I get along with. I've never kissed or dated a girl. Also I go to a boy's school, but when I walk home, I sometimes pass this beautiful girl about the same age as myself, but I don't have the guts to talk to her. She goes to a different school, wears a skirt + those ankle length hoisery.

Anyways I was thinking of getting to know her, talk to her on msn where I'm more comfortable. Can anybody help me?

i think how you dress does help a bit, but sometimes it can just be a cover up.
like if you r shy and hid under really "Flamboyant" clothing.
i am pretty shy and i find that i can not go out weraing anything "plain"

I'm a shy person, I've been shy since primary school even though I had my group of friends and used to play soccer/football/basketball/rugby/tiggy with loads of people. it's probably since English wasn't my first language and yeah... Also I wasn't the brightest kid, due to my eyesight and I didn't get glasses until highschool, when my grades signifiganty improved.

I'd suggest when passing her say Hi to start with.  Then go to introduce yourself, and sure you could ask for her msn or phone #.  Msn is always an easy way to get to know someone, you could try that.  

2 years later...plus in a whole lot of drama and change...and I've completely lost the shyness.

It takes experience,I guess. And good friends to have your back, and to help draw you out from being shy.

i mean for me i have no problem talking to any chick except most of the preppy girls. But if they show at least some interest in me, it just lets me know that they wouldnt mind talking to me at the worst, so i start up a convo. i think thats my problem, i lack confidence around preppy chicks, its weird
