Water on mars as recently as several years ago.

In fact, it's likely that every so often water flows on mars even now.

And don't come in her saying we already knew water was on mars, no shit. What we didn't know was that it was actively running within the past several thousand years, let alone within just years.

Anyway, assuming that it's relatively warm underneath Mars's surface, and assuming that the water really comes from springs underground, there could be life developed underneath, almost certainly nothing advanced, but atmosphere or no, it could be.

Yes, though I don't really see how that relates to this topic at all, as this is discussing running water and the likelihood of underground springs stemming far, far away from the poles in places where it was thought that water used to run freely eons ago.

cool Stephen Hawking said humans have to establish space colonies within the next 50 years or we'll die here on Earth thanks to religion. I havent researched it but he's literally a genius so I trust in Him.

Uh, no, not quite.

He said that he's worried about global disasters, nuclear war, and genetically engineered viruses, not religion.

Stephen Hawking isn't dumb.
