I have a dilemma! OK so I am going to school up in the mountains in CO and have my snowboard up here and I am dying to get out on the mountain. I didn't buy a season pass cuz I didn't know if I'd have time to get out, but school isnt near as time consuming as I was afraid it'd be. Anyways I went boarding with my friends and it cost me 72 bucks, so I started looking up what a season pass would cost. My friends all have a pass that gets them unlimited skiing at A-Basin, Breckenridge, and Keystone and 10 days to use at Vail. That is the pass I want, but they are not selling them anymore. A-basin has a season pass that has unlimited skiing at A-basin, and 5 days to use at Keystone or Breck, and one of those 5 can be used at Vail. That cost $299. They also have a pass that is just for A-basin that only cost $159. A-basin is by far our least favorite resort of the 4 but it is alot cheeper......ahhh I don't know what to do!! My friends aren't gonna wanna spend all their time at A-basin but I dunno if I can afford to go anywhere else...... what to do!!!!!

If you are convinced you are going to ride at Breck, Keystone, and/or Vail for at least five times this season, get that pass (as it is cheaper than the tickets would be, and you get unlimited riding at A-Basin).  If you are not going to ride at A-basin, there is no reason to get the A-Basin only pass.  Wost comes to worst, you could probably buy a coupon book and buy a few tickets to Breck or Keystone for relatively small amounts.  But if you are going to go more than five times anywhere other than A-Basin, you should expect to pay several hundred dollars, regardless of your choice in ticket.  But take this as a lesson and buy your season passes on time, next year.

I don't know about Colorado, but I work in the ski industry here in Alberta. Nearly all of our resorts offer ski cards where you get something like the 1st, 4th and 7th day free, and then a discounted rate for the days in between. You'd save money that way.

How does a lift ticket cost $72, you said you didn't need any rentals, are you including meals in this equation.

Being that your in a big mountain area there will tend to be a lot of shops specializing in snow sports that will probably have lift tickets for less money.  It's pretty late in the season, I wouldn't bother with a season pass, and just pay for a lift ticket.  In NJ it's usually 30 or 35.  I don't know the CO prices.

last i checked it was way more expensive..
as for  crabigailrose  , if you get a part time job at breckenridge mountain, you get a free season pass.
my friend lives there and works there part time so she can ski for free.
