I use photoshop from time to time but I'm not really that hardcore when it comes to graphic design but I was wondering if it's still worth upgrading to the latest version. Would the addition of new features be worth it?

Not really. I've had CS2 for ages and it's always been good to me.
By the way, implying you own pirated software on a public forum probably isn't a good idea.

thanks for the "pirate software" advice, it would be definatley interesting to get in trouble for it off of a teen forum..

it is definitely worth it, but many things are still the same.

Well exactly what could you do in cs2 that you couldn't in 7.0...I mean I would imagine you could do basically the same thing but it would be easier to do it with cs2...

I got CS2 a few days ago. I had CS before that, and I loooooooved CS so much more.
The scrollwheel in CS was zoom, so I never had to click on the magnifyer button.. aaaaah, those were the days.
At the very least, purchase a copy of CS.

on mac i work with cs2, on windows i work with 7.0,
I think both works fine... and if you say you're not a "hardcore photoshopper" I don't think it's worth to buy the upgrade...

The bridge alone has been worth the upgrade for me! CS2 has a built in high resoloution, royalty free image database. it's deffinalty been a lifesaver for me! plus it's got some other ultra cool features....most can be done in CS (and probably some in 7.0....i don't remember i havn't used that version in forever) but they are much easier in CS2.
