No kidding? Well guess what, the Pope, Batman, Stephen Hawkings and Buddha agree with me! I guess you're fucked, then.

You're suggesting that you don't have to know where the electrons are to replicate the atom. The effects of producing a biological entity with the same atoms as you but completely different or randomly located electrons would be more or less catastrophic, with possible outcomes ranging from falling apart into atoms/molecules or certain parts of your body exploding. It's stupid, and Hanlon can bite me.

In theory of cause it's possible. In theory it's possible that I can swim down unaided to the Pacific Ocean floor, I just need to find a way of breathing under water and stopping my head imploding.

If you deconstructed all the bonds in your body the enthalpy change would be massive. Also, I want to know how the honourable Hanlon suggests we scan a body without slicing it into very thin segments.

Massive, epic adventure, multi-coloured, multi-layered.
Sort of two/three dimensional Wizard of Oz for the future.

um...what about the part that a computer can't create atoms? ... and moving electronically through wires would like...kill you? wouldn't it?

yet people of a much higher scientific background have agreed that what i stated is totally plausible.

Given that we can overcome some pretty hefty barriers.

You seem to have forgotten that. And most of the teleportation in theory and practice is dealing with photons, not organic material. Huge difference.

luckily he is on my side of the argument..

Except that Hanlon's ending conclusion about teleporation is that it is not feasible. You seem to have forgotten to put that.

Come back when you actually understand something.
