Such as Beezid or QuiBids? I just want to know if anyone has won anything from them before. I want a new laptop and am looking at these sites as an option for getting one. Thanks for any input!

It's not a scam but you end up paying a lot of money trying to win the auctions. By the time you actually spend money on buying your bids and end up bidding to the bitter end, you've probably spend 70-80% on the item...that is if you win it of course.
You are better off buying it from a retailer than trying to win one on a penny auction website.

This.
I've looked into it for various items and it never seems worth the trouble or risk.

See that's what I figured, but I just wanted to see if anyone had experience with them.
