19 I was saving up to move out and buy a house, had around 2000 dollars saved up when my parents let me know they hadn't paid their property taxes or irrigation bill and weren't really paying the power bill even though they said they were. So I was digging them out of the threat of foreclosure when I met my fiance and I have yet to regain my money. I finally got pissed off and move out. I don't get paid until friday so it is living in the car until my paycheck

Two thousand dollars is not even a dent in what buying a house would cost. You MIGHT cover just your closing costs with that. Anyway, you aren't any kind of wife, until you are actually his wife. Living in his car isn't benefiting you in any way, and it's honestly not the smartest idea. Your fiance, got kicked, out, that doesn't mean that you have to live in a car. You could have stayed where you were at, and possibly tried to talk things out with your mom. Chances are it wasn't completely innocent on you, or your fiances end...

my mother is a drunk and a druggie who has random fits of rage and then apologizes two hours later then comes back an hour after that to kick the person out. She freaked because we opened the garage door to show a buyer the couch we are trying to get rid of (she gave us permission) then she got mad when i told her no im not paying for her alcohol

Wow thats horrible! You should stop paying their bills. ITs their responsibility while you continue on with your life unlewss your parents really need it and can't pay for themselves because they have dementia or are handicapped or something. Since she's a druggie and a drunk you shouldn't pay. she needs to get sober and take control of her life. You need to find a friend or live in your fiance's family's house, maybe?

You should have moved out when your mom wanted you to pay her bills, rather than some kind of rent. You and your fiance could have rented out a room at a house for $500 a month with all utilities paid for - that $2000 could have lasted you a good 3 months if you factor in food and gas, and without all the bullshit you have to put up with through your mom and for less money. I'd recommend going that direction until you and him can get an apartment together or something. Let your family burn, they need to get their shit together.

Are you really ready to be getting married if you are having to live in a car?
Married couples have to do stints living out in cars all the time. With all the housing foreclosures in the last 5 years, it's become more common for middle class families who never thought such things could happen to be living out of their cars. They tend to stay out of sight though (there are few places for them to legally go and park their car), so it's understandable you might not see it.
Sure when shit happens, but starting off a marriage living out of a car, when you can stay in a house just seperate from a boyfriend isn't exactly smart. I do not know a single person IRL who lives out of/has lived out of a car. Even if homes are foreclosed on, they move and live in a rental etc. Foreclosure doesn't happen over night. Most people that I know who have been foreclosed on stop makig payments on their homes and just save until they are evicted, so they have a good cushion saved up to rent a place. The fastest I have heard of someone being evicted after a first notice was 9 months. I have a friend living in a foreclosed house right now that hasn't made a payment in over a year. My uncle recieved a foreclosure notice nearly 4 years ago, and is still living in his house, and hasn't made a payment since...

I've known people who did stints living out of their car, and it's as temporary as being unemployed is. Shit happens, and obviously it doesn't happen suddenly, but when the funds do dry up (and this is a gradual process) and you family / friends suck (little to no support from them) you're left with little to nothing. Not everyone is privileged enough to have great families or friends who would help them out like that either. Doesn't mean you can't find love and marry though, that doesn't and never should require money. I think your point would be more valid if we're talking about having kids (which getting married doesn't entail), but as far as a married couple goes, starting out living out of a car isn't bad. Why do they need to have a permanent home to marry and be together at all? If anything, I find the situation all the more endearing.
