It's going to happen, just not the way people think (I know youre messing). People were stupid 50 years ago and didn't understand the concepts of logistics with things like that, the whole 'sky is the limit' shit yada yada yada or the concept of robotic guidance

I can't see the point of flying cars, to be honest. Massive expenditure of energy for not much practical gain. I don't think that they'll take. At least, not to the point that they're the norm.

I don't think flying personal transportation will ever be a thing. Wouldn't you have to have a pilot's license for that? There are too many people on the ground that can't drive for shit.

Besides, everyone tends to think that a flying car means soaring above congestion and problems... but if everyone was flying, then you would be flying *through* congestion and problems. Suddenly they all exist in three dimensions.

And like other people have brought up, where the hell is all the energy going to come from?
