lately i have been evolving and have realized facebook is just an attention whoring site. i have decided to deactivate my account.

i mean. the more friends you have, I guess the same the more you invest in it. but if your have only 3 close friends. what's the point?

so has anyone else closed there account? or are yo the addicted sheep like the rest of the world.

also, the IPO of facebook was a farce. yes i watched it live and in full when it opened. it was a farce!

I mainly just use it to chat with a few friends, but the fan pages are mildly entertaining as well.  I certainly wouldn't miss it if it were no longer around.

what annoys me most about it. is facebook chat. it's buggy as hell and annoying to use. yet it's the next msn message of 2005.

i mean come on? it's not even in it's own client. even if it is. it is shitty.

if you could cross platform with something useful i might use  it.

I wouldn't close my FB. It's the easiest way for me to stay in touch with my friends back in the States and stay in touch with my friends here from Uni over the breaks.

I agree that it sucks, but it's also useful having it in a place like Facebook when you may not have exchanged screen names with those people to begin with.

I haven't closed my acccount yet, but I do think about it sometimes. Probably the only reason I still use it it's because me and friends usually talk in fb messenger. But I really agree it's an attention whoring site, it really is, Godness.

you can just leave it barely active instead

i like it cos it keeps me from falling off the face of the earth when i want to have an idea of what people are up to but not commit to hanging out with them

I've never had a FaceBook, and I don't want one. Everyone I know uses it as a bullying system or they hack each others accounts and stuff. I already put up with enough drama, I don't need anymore from a shallow website.
