I dated a Muslim. almost became Muslim. And pretty much everyone goes to heaven eventually.
If I followed Christianity and was a good person, I'd be in after some torment.

I think you're mixing up the religions...I've been a muslim for over 3/4s of my life, and that's SO not the case.

Every atom of good and evil you do will be rewarded and punished.
Pretty much everyone will have some form of torment.

I'd actually pick four religions: (Neo-)Madhyamaka Buddhism, Engaged Buddhism, Unitarian Universalism, and Discordianism.

All four can be interpreted in ways that I believe are entirely correct and logical, and each brings something quality to the table.

  • Madhyamaka Buddhism probably has the most logically rigorous (and soteriologically-relevant) ontologies that I have ever encountered. Engaged Buddhism combines a non-dogmatic base with social action. The only reason that I'm not a Buddhist is that my life is too fulfilling, pleasant, and generally satisfactory for me to have felt a need to turn to serious practice. It's always where I go in times of strife, though.

  • Unitarian Universalism brings a wider community of religious perspectives together under a similarly non-dogmatic message of tolerance and pluralism. The only reason that I'm not a Unitarian Universalist is that, at this time in my life, I don't feel a pressing need for a spiritual community.

  • Discordianism, in addition to reiterating many core concepts of the above, does so with a sense of humor and playfulness that I think is a great contribution to a balanced and well-adjusted spirituality. Not to mention the DMT. I'm at a loss for why I don't self-identify as a Discordian; maybe I'd just rather not have to bother explaining it to people?

    In so far as the word "knowledge" has any meaning, the world is knowable;
    but it is interpretable otherwise,
    it has no meaning behind it, but countless meanings.

    I'm not mixing up anything. The Muslim I was dating had been one all his life too. And if the good I did will be rewarded then I don't need to worry about anything.
    Therefore I could live as a Christian and live by Christian values (Which I find much easier than Muslim values) and the good that I did as a Christian would count even if Christianity was wrong and Islam was right.
