Had a chance to give the paint on the new car a pretty good go-over.

Did a dish detergent wash to remove wax, clay barred, and used the Turtle Wax Black Box system on the car the other day.

After the first wash, I pulled out the heaviest clay bar I have. Here's how bad it was after just HALF of the roof.

I don't have any "during" , just afters. This was after clay, after pre-wax cleaner and a heavy application of the black wax, a wash and a quick detailer wipe down.

I know, I know.. there's a lug cover missing at each wheel. Previous owner had wheel locks on it, never gave the dealer the covers when they traded it in. I'd have them ordered already but they're discontinued..so I will have to look around until I find the stainless caps like these. I also bought some more of the $12 tire shine since I liked it so much on the Impala. LOVE the way this stuff coats and hangs on.

The paint really did come out nice. Here's a final shot for the thread.

Good to know where that you are unable to read which section you are in.  You see that part near the top where it says "Cars, Trucks & Vehicles?"  That means that this is the correct place for someone to post things about their car.  If you dislike discussions about Cars, Trucks & Vehicles, this is probably not the place to be hanging out.  This is the somewhere else.

On topic:  Nice work cleaning it up.

Certainly an upgrade from the Impala.  You miss it yet?

Because there has to be some forum activity. I'm beginning to adopt the idea myself. I mean, we're car people, might as well talk about cars?
