Homeless Man Robert Downs' Camouflaged Shack Shielded Him From Authorities for Months, Police Say.

This man was found breaking the law by solituding himself in a Los Angeles Park and growing some marijuana plants for himself. If you ask me I think the man just wanted to be alone and smoke some weed while doing so. He was already living here for several months without any disturbance I don't see how this couldn't have been overlooked. It's not like he was bothering anyone or hurting the park. He seems like your average hippie to me.

What do you guys think?

EDIT: I still can't remember how to attach links, pictures, etc. on here

That's true but where he was located it was completely discreet. The police do routine check-ups around the park and didn't even notice him more than several months later.

Guy was growing weed in a public park.  Why would he not be arrested?

I can see the logic to why he was arrested but at the same time you got to feel bad for the guy. He was only minding his own business. Also it's not like the weed was being distributed to the public, it was for his own personal use.

So did the slaves but does that mean they wanted to leave Afrika?

He lost his greatest treasures in the process though: privacy, weed, peace and quiet
