so this girl swears up and down that she doesn't want a relationship with me now or ever i'm just kinda :\ about it, but it is kinda whatever in the long run still, while she swears that i'm not her boyfriend, she will try to shame me with stuff that only works on a 'boyfriend' like the other day we were packing up to go home from a few day vacation and i was like hey get your stuff downstairs and i'll have the car pulled up to the front office she was all zomg so you aren't going to carry my stuff for me (it was pretty light anyways) so i'll just go find some real man in the hotel to do it for me i was just lolling to myself, i mean why would i care if another man carried your bag? i ended up just saying fuck it and took her bag with me so i didn't have to hear anymore bitching about the matter (i'm sure it would have lasted most of the 3 hr drive home), but really what's the point of shaming tactics on 'just a friend'?

It wasn't so much the 'shaming' that convinced me to do it, but rather the high noise level and the thought of being in a car with her for the rest of the day.

I'm sure you could say the same for a toddler that learns that throwing a fit and sobbing will get his/her parents to yield. They might do it for peace and quiet rather than out of a sense of sympathy or shame for their child's emotional pain, but at the end of the day a win's a win.

again, it has nothing to do with actual weight. it's still a 'hassle' carrying it to the car from the girls perspective. and maybe she was also doing it to test the boundaries to see how far you will go.
