There's a documentary about Mermaids existence being shown right now on Discovery Channel and I'm truly convinced they exist by what I've seen in this documentary.
If you say you don't believe Mermaids exist, watch this, and you'll most likely change your opinion. It's not based soley on theories, fables, and personal opinions. They're showing hard scientific evidence to back up their claims.

Watch the Discovery Channel if you can right now. Like I said it'll probably change your mind because they're looking at this idea from a scientific level and there are quite a bit of facts to prove this theory.

Provided that they weren't the creepy ones like in Harry Potter.
Unfortunately I think they would look creepy because you would have to consider the fact that they're adapted to the sea so they probably look very fish-like.
