They were wronged so badly, and for so long. They were treated like trash, and they didn't deserve that. But, I'm sorry to say, the way a lot of them behave, they are doing absolutely no favors for their reputation. For example, that shit that happened in Ipperwash, Canada almost 20 years ago. They raided a military base, completely trashed it, caused a standoff with provincial police, and took the place over. You should drive by that old base today... they've turned it into a total dump. Crumbling walls, smashed windows, graffiti, garbage everywhere - it's a hell of a sad sight. Oh, and you can't even use the beach there. Just try to walk on it, and they'll threaten you and tell you to leave. Then there's the terrible state of all the reserves I've seen. The majority of them are slums, trashy and dumpy to the max. When my Mom worked as a cab driver, she refused to even go to the city's First Nations reserve at all because she had so many close calls there and felt unsafe. There were often people doing drugs and wandering around drunk, jumping on the hood of her car and banging on the windows. Bad stuff. I know they're not to blame, but shit like that is only going to make the rest of society even less sympathetic.

Where's the evidence that it's not their fault at all? Where's the evidence that if they were Whites instead of Amerinds, their quality of life would be significantly better and the living standards would be better?
