L@@K more good news about vaccines! let's eradicate this bullshit anti-vax anti-science propaganda nonsense.
A small clinical study found "proof of principle" that the BCG tuberculosis vaccine might help adults with long-standing type 1 diabetes.

"Even more surprising was that in this safety study, at a very low dose and after only two BCG vaccinations, we started seeing indications that this vaccine is doing the same thing in people as it does in the mouse."

like my title says, it's a vaccination against tuberculosis which is normally given to children (and i think boosters) to prevent tuberculosis, cause it's serious shit.

I got that vaccine when I was a kid and I still have type 1 diabetes.  Well, I developed it when I was 16, well after I got that vaccine, so I don't know.

it's an early study. but the point is not that the the normal vaccine schedule would prevent you from getting it, but that if you do end up getting type 1 diabetes then you could be given this vaccine as a treatment later on.
