I want it to have a blu ray player and I want it to be able to run gta 4 and other games like bf3. I'm looking to spend 500$-700$

bf3 eats GPUs for breakfast. i heard of a gaming laptop coming out once, but i dunno the name. i do know that its expensive stuff, but no regular laptop will be able to run bf3

gta 4 is not as demanding as bf3, but its still heavy. my 3 year old laptop lags a lot trying to run gta in minimum settings. i dont know how much have laptops evolved since then. all i can say is, if you want a gaming pc, a laptop is a poor choise, and your butget is way too low to build a pc, youd need 1500 maybe. and theres a site called "can you run it" that tells you if ur pc can run a certain game or not.

At $700, you're not going to find a laptop that plays BF3 very well.  Better accept that fact first.
