Where do you live? How much is college there? (average/your college)
How is school where you are different than the U.S.?
Do you think it's better?

I live in Ontario, Canada. Univerisity tuition here is between $5000-$7000.
It's different in that the name is different, colleges here are not like colleges in America. University is what you guys call College. It's also much more affordable.
Our universities aren't privatized, a good portion of it is subdized? I think that's what it's called.

Yes, because I can get a quality education for a whole lot less cost resulting in far less debt.
Here in Ontario we have OSAP, which is student loans. We only have to pay back about $7300 of what we borrow. So even if we take out 15,000, we don't pay the full amount back.
We also can apply to be eligible for 30% of our tuition to be waivered I believe.

"College" is another name for high school here. University is subsidised for NZ citizens/permanent residents, comes to something like $5000-6000 a year for BA and BSci degrees (so $15000-$18000 if you complete it in the normal time). BMus and BComm are about the same. Law might be a bit more; aviation runs into six figures by the time you're done. Student loans are interest free, but there's an undergrad limit and a lifetime limit.

I don't really know what school/university is like in the US, so I don't know how it's different here. People here tend to distinguish more between the actual degrees, though - as far as I can tell you guys only ever talk about your majors.

If you live in England the college (Uni) fees are around £9,000 ($14,000) per year! Scotland and Wales are different!
School is entirely different again!
