I don't have either, so I can't give a full review, but my brother is damn near ready to get down on one knee and propose to his Fire.

Oh, and my mom also has one and I think she loves it more than me.

My dad has an iPad that he says is decent, but not spectacular.

kindle. ipad is overrated. my mom has the fire and even though there mostly made for books, you can still get apps, internet, music ect. just like an ipad for a cheaper price. and its a little smaller which is nice if your going to travel with it or bring it out with you.

My mom has an e-reader (not a kindle) that has android capabilities. Personally, it's nothing compared to my ipad. We have trouble doing at lot of stuff on her e-reader that you can do an on ipad no problem.
Plus with the ipad you have access to the app store and can sync it with your other apple products (which I enjoy). The price is fair for an apple product.
As for size, the ipad is a little bigger, but it can still fit in my purse just fine with everything else in there too.

It's really just more do you want to wait the extra time and get an ipad or get a kindle sooner... Personally, I would take the ipad over any other tablet.

My mom has the nook tablet and loves it.  The thing is amazing.  I would go with that over an Ipad

Cops are wonderful assessment tools at a HazMat incident.
Send them in with a lit road flare.

If they don't pass out or blow up, it's safe.
