She's probably lonely and doesn't have many people to talk to.
Similar thing happened to me at the grocery store a few days ago except it was some old guy.
He asked me if I knew where the milk was and after I helped him find a sales associate he kept following me around asking me random questions, and telling me that I reminded him of his grandson :/.

Why would you feel awkward talking to people when that career field requires you to be good with people? It shouldn't be all to awkward to be personal with your patients, and I don't see why you held yourself back with it. You might have actually gotten something out of it, and maybe next time you should see her as a person rather than somebody getting an ECG done, even if you think she seems "weird."

She could have just been nervous. I do that often when I go to doctor's offices, I try to make a little relationship with the people that I come into contact with. It makes me feel more comfortable to act like they're people that I WANT to talk to and hang out with.

you fucking get on my nerves. I never said I felt awkward talking to people/patients. And if you can fucking read, you twat, I said "i awkwardly waited." Where the fuck do you come off saying that I didnt see her as a person? What the fuck do I see her as, if not someone getting an ECG? What the fuck in fucks sake does that even mean? Just because I noticed that her mentality was different than most of the human population i interact with doesnt mean I did something wrong.
