ear piercing, little developed lumps that hurt

I've had my ear lobes pierced for about 2 years now.

On and off they'll develop these hard lumps where the piercing is.

I just felt my ear lobes again, and one feels even bigger than it normally gets and hurts a little.

What the hell are those things and is there a way to get rid of them?

I have lumps in mine, and they've been pierced since I was 6 months old.
It's probably scar tissue.

I get that too and I've had mine done for 6 or 7 years. I think it's pretty normal, but I'm not sure if they should hurt. You could always see a doctor if you're worried about them.

I've had what feel like tiny lumps ever since I had my ears done. I always assumed it was just where the tissue had scarred and healed.

It might be some of the jewellery you're wearing or if you sleep with them in it might have been pulled or pushed while you were sleeping.

I've had piercings for years and they'll get irritated from time to time. It just happens.

It's most likely scar tissue. My ears did that and I had it for a good few years. It finally went away pretty recently.

It's more then likely a keloid, i had one on my nose piercing for about six months. Try changing the jewellery and cleaning it with salty hot water. It will disappear if you keep it clean
