Originally it was because his wife (who I've seen as a mother figure since I was like eight) was going to be there and his girlfriend was uncomfortable. Unfortunately, her mother died and she will be back in Columbia for a while taking care of everything so she can no longer make it.

I let my dad know that and he's still not coming because he's probably going to have a long work week and needs sunday to rest. But he'll stop by to drop off my gift on the Saturday in between them.

My mother is pissed. My aunt and uncle (his siblings) are really pissed.

I should be pissed. But I'm just really hurt. I was expecting anything, I guess. But I was just really hoping he would realize how big this is and put everything aside for me. Guess not.
