When did we start blaming others for violence we commit?

The whole world - including the West - seem to be blaming a YouTube video that is within YouTube's own stringent policy guidelines for provoking Muslims to riot and kill others.

Some are claiming the video was made to incite Muslims to violence - as if the video has calls for Muslims to carry out attacks against American embassies; like actual Muslim clerics who call for the blood of the filmmakers: http://tinyurl.com/9b6nn5c; or homosexuals and Jews other days of the week.

Since when do we blame others for the violence another party is committing?

Could you imagine a scenario where Americans or Westerners could be driven to violence over a YouTube video within YouTube guidelines?

If anyone actually believed this absurd logic, including Muslims and Leftists, then al-Qaeda would have created a YouTube wing to get Americans to start deadly riots with offensive videos years ago.

Of course it won't happen to us--we left the dark ages 500 years ago. They're a bit behind over there.

We, as in the West?  Actually, Western nations are claiming the video "incited" Muslims to commit violence and the UN is blaming the filmmaker with producing a film that would deliberately shed blood.

Sorry, if videos could shed blood then al-Qaeda wouldn't be using members as kamikaze pilots but slick Pakistani based directors instead.

We as in the west wouldn't be caught dead killing people over a video. But what the un says isn't wrong, just look at the Danish cartoon; the directors knew blood would be spilled over this. But whose fault is that, the creators? Nope, the dumbasses who have their panties in a bunch. If anything the video is just another tool to help show the west how fucked people are over there and why we need to take our 'democracy' and gtfo.

Since when do we blame others for the violence another party is committing?

Since humans could think?

People dont want to take responsibility for their fuck ups so they blame someone else.

For example, when self-righteous parents blamed rock and roll for their kids behavior instead of acknowledging their own failure as parents

I would argue non-Muslims don't know that a cartoon or YouTube video will result in deadly riots and mob action; they are non-Muslim and the world they inhabit doesn't erupt in violence over cartoons of a historical figure.

You would be supposed a very large ignorance on the part of the American people then. Remember the censoring of mohomad on South Park because CC didn't want their offices blown up? Or the Danish cartoon. It isn't exactly a new phenomenon. But I gues you're right, most Americans are pretty dumb when it comes to that area of the globe.

I don't think it's ignorance, I think it's more the inability to understand the idea that feeling that your religion has been insulted can be considered a capital offense.

Critics project their views on the people they are criticizing.

South Park attempted to air the Muhammad cartoon to make a point rather than start a riot.

People want change in the Muslim world rather than riots to be used as an excuse by liberals to stifle critical and satirical views directed toward Islam and Muslims.

500 years ago, they would have been able to do a lot more than just attack a few embassies.
