I use Windows XP and have had only a little experience with MACS. I find that PCs are a lot cheaper and you can find more support. Plus I don't have to worry about whether software required for classes is compatible with MAC. Yes, I've lost data before. Yes, I've lost date before. Yes, the computer screws up just when I'm in the middle of a paper. however, no computers are perfect. I'd eventually like to try a MAC , just for the experience.

Now I dont like the way Microsoft runs business (through a monopoly) and the prices they charge for some of their software (Word etc).  I certaintly don't like IE but since WIndows  is the cheapest out there, I'll have to go with that.

Which is why a lot of people use alternative software on windows. For example, for internet browsing you've got Firefox (among others), there's OpenOffice for office software, there's tons of stuff better than Windows Media Player, etc.
And Microsoft runs a bit of a monopoly, true, but no worse than Apple is in forcing you to use their hardware with their OS. At least MS sticks to software, and they're not that bad (at least for the consumer) about it.

Consumer reports rated the Apple Computer Higher than any other computer. Not many people who buy computers want to make their own. And in that case an Apple would be a better choice. Especialy for people who have a life and don't waste their time with games

If gaming is "wasting" time, then so is every other form of recreation.
Anyways, my point still stands that anyone looking into anything with as much power as the Mac Pro probably WILL look at custom. Your typical buyer doesn't want or need anything that powerful. Then again, your typical computer buyer is pretty clueless about what they're buying, which always pisses me off since the stuff isn't hard to understand, people just pretend that it is.

Then they can get an iMac or Mac Mini. And alot of Movie producers use Macs for video also.
