People try to make it seem like working your way up crappy minimum wage jobs gives you just as much a chance as getting rich as going to college. Wrong. I was hit by a car 2 months ago, broke my femur, I spent 1 month and a half constantly working, pushing myself so I could atleast walk again and get back to work.

Anyways, 1 week before I get cleared to work, I call back the place I was at before I was hit and the manager is like they are doing layoffs and wont be hiring again until march.

I know it's not his fault, I live in this stupid tourist city unfortunately, but that is complete bullshit. I have bill collectors from the hospital and other places blowing up my phone and sending me letters because I have no income. Those assholes are not going to wait til march. Thank God I was living with my mom at the time and I don't have a car, otherwise I would probably be evicted and have my car repossessed. I don't want to work at a job where if you get hit or injured, boom, gameover. I mean that's just bullshit.

If I had stayed in college atleast I would of had a job that needed me and probably gave me sick pay.

My husband dropped out of high school at 16 and I only recently went back to complete an Associates degree (I'm 32).

We've both worked hard and have pretty good careers. Partly it is luck, in that neither of us have ever had to take months out of work, but I think mostly it's just drive and motivation.

You have many options: you can always go back to school, but that honestly won't garauntee anything, it all still relies on you to put in the work.

So when you're happy (Hurray!), or sad (Aw!),
Or frightened (Eeek!), or mad (Rats!)
An interjection starts a sentence right.
