My mom has stage 4 breast cancer yet she continues to smoke cigs!! I've tried in previous years to get her to quit but it doesn't work. I know she smokes behind my back and it is killing me. What can I do to get her to stop for her well being? Is there any medication I can slip into her drink? I have ginseng bottles. Would that work? I need other ways to kick the smoking habit out of her. Please help.

There are nicotine patches, nicotine gum, and "light" cigarettes that you could get for her over the counter in many places.  But don't slip it into her drink, that's dishonest.  Have you considered hearing her opinion on those options?  There's also chewing tobacco but lots of people find it disgusting.  Tapering off or cutting down slowly I think is the best way to quit something.
